Still looking for inspiration when it comes to getting gifts this Christmas? Before you read any further, be sure to check out my first list of gift ideas for dog ownersWhether you’re buying for a friend, family member or co-worker, there are plenty of things that all dog owners would be happy to get. If you’re having a hard time choosing what to get, here’s some Christmas gifts for dog owners that they’ll be sure to love:

Collar light attachments

We bought one of these for Isla and Harley each and totally love them! Even through our dogs’ thick coats of fur, you can see the lights. They’re easy to clip onto the collars, and come in several colours. We really like the lights because it helps us spot the dogs when they’re out at night and are great accessories for any time of year.

Bandanas

One can never have enough bandanas for their dogs. I like bandanas because they’re easy to put on your dog and to clean after a messy day outdoors! This time of year, you can find bandanas in all kinds of seasonal patterns, suitable for before and after Christmas.

If you own a sewing machine, you can also make unique bandanas at low cost. Fabric stores will have tons of great patterns to choose from. Since bandanas are a simple rectangle pattern, you can make a double sided one with very little effort!

Snuffle mat

These are cool new toys that have recently come into popularity. You can hide treats or kibble in them and make a game for the dog. If you can’t find a snuffle mat in store, have no fear- these are also easy to make yourself. Make a snuffle mat in Christmas colours and your dog owner gift recipient will be sure to like it.

Door mat for dogs

If your dog owner friend/family member doesn’t have one, you can get them a special door mat for dogs. With the muddy paws that come with winter weather, dog owners’ houses can become messy quickly. A special door mat for dogs goes a long way to help keep things clean.  Similar to bath mats, they’re a softer material meant to catch on fur and dry paws quickly. Find one at your local pet store!

Shrink wrap machine

Are you buying for a dog owner that feeds raw or frozen food? If yes, a shrink wrapper is a great tool to get for them! It makes for a much easier time when storing frozen foods, especially those of peculiar shapes, like bones. A shrink wrapper is especially useful if your gift recipient doesn’t have a deep freezer at home.

Candles & incense

While I embrace the smell of my stinky pups, I know that others aren’t so fond of it. For this reason, we like to keep plenty of candles and incense in stock. You can find some lovely seasonal smells during Christmas time at plenty of different stores. Great for entertaining, or just freshening up your home, candles and incense are always appreciated by dog owners.

Calendula oil

Some owners may not use this, but it’s my go-to medicinal cream for the dogs. Natural calendula oil can be used on cuts and burns to heal them quickly. Having used it numerous times, I can speak to how great this stuff is. If you’re looking to purchase some, you can be sure to find it at your local homeopathic store.

Car seat cover

With most dogs, they leave a lovely trail of hair everywhere they go. If your gift recipient drives their dogs around a lot in the car, a great gift to get is a car seat cover. This will keep seat cushions from getting dirty or torn from excitable puppies in the back seat.

Silicone ice cube tray

Ice cube trays are a great tool for making frozen dog treats. The silicone trays are especially useful because they’re easy to pop the frozen foods out of. You can find these trays in fun shapes at dog stores and general kitchen stores.
